Za’atar Flatbread


  • 2 Tbsp. Brothers Marketplace Za’atar
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • ½ teaspoon yeast
  • 1 tsp. Brothers Marketplace honey
  • 1 ½ cup all – purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp Brothers Marketplace Organic EVOO


  • In a large bowl, add water, yeast and honey – stir to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes or until yeast has bloomed and is frothy
  • Stir in flour and salt. Mix well. The dough will be “sticky”
  • Place dough in a well oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for 2 ½ hours
  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees
  • Coat 2 baking sheets with 1 tbsp EVOO each
  • Divide dough in half
  • Spread dough into circles about 8 inches wide onto the prepared pans
  • Sprinkle 1 tbsp of Brothers Za’atar evenly over the flatbread
  • Drizzle each flatbread with 1-2 tbsp. of Brothers Organic EVOO
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until browned and crisp
  • Serve warm or at room temperature
