In the kitchen at Brothers Marketplace, our chefs are roasting chicken for your dinner, prepared how you would make it if you had the time.
We start with fresh, antibiotic and hormone-free chickens that are humanely raised. Then we roast them in the oven two ways.
Choose between a simple bird with salt and pepper and one that’s hand rubbed with our own flavorful blend of herbs.
The result: chicken with browned, crisp skin on the outside and tender, juicy meat on the inside.
As the temperature rises outside, serve a weeknight dinner without heating up your own kitchen.
Pick up some scratch-made salads to make it a meal, such as our signature sweet and salty Faragula Salad or Chickamama Salad packed with chickpeas and edamame. If you have any chicken left over, try some easy and flavorful ways to serve it the next day:
Chicken Fried Rice: Stir fry vegetables, such as snap peas, carrots, baby corn and water chestnuts, with minced garlic and ginger. Add a couple of eggs, cooked rice and bits of the left-over chicken for a complete meal. Season with soy sauce or tamari and spice it up with Brothers Marketplace Shichimi Togarashi.
Asian Chicken Salad: Mix the last of the roasted chicken with shredded cabbage, mandarin oranges and sesame seeds. Drizzle with an Asian-style vinaigrette.
Chicken Fajitas: Use the leftovers for Mexican night! Serve up a make-your-own fajitas bar, with sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa, sautéed peppers and onions and warm corn tortillas.
Pulled BBQ Chicken: Pull the last of the chicken off the bone and stir in your favorite barbecue sauce. Make it into sandwiches on bulky rolls, or offer sautéed greens and potato salad on the side.
Pizza with Chicken and Herbs: Turn the rest of yesterday’s roasted chicken into today’s pizza dinner. Add fresh herbs, onions, mozzarella and marinara sauce, along with pieces of chicken. Or top it with kale, pesto and shallots. Make it your own with your choice of vegetables and cheeses.
